Roof Leaks

We repair all types of roof leaks on all kinds of roofs. Some roof leaks can be easy to locate while others can be more difficult to find. We’re able to determine the cause, source, and where the leak originated and repair it properly.

Leaks are a good source for mold growth and need to be quickly repaired to reduce the chances of the ceiling being severely damaged and possibly collapsing.

Some leaks are easy to discover while others may take a while for to realize. This is because some leaks are located at the edge of the roof where it hangs over several feet from the house causing the water to leak on the outside of the wall and not inside of the house and therefore causing it not to be noticed. Another reason is because the attic is full of insulation that acts as a sponge and absorb the water to a certain point and only when it is saturated enough does it leaks to the ceiling.

Common signs that you have a roof leak:

Ceiling stains.

Paint bubbling on the ceiling or walls.

Brown water stains on the fascia boards.

Vegetation growth on the roof just above the gutters.

Water dripping from behind the fascia boards or through the soffit vents.

Types of roof leaks:

Each type of leak comes with different challenges and necessary ways to resolving them.

Field leaks: located in the open areas of the roof. (Usually the easiest to repair)

Flashing Leaks: located where a section of the roof meets an elevated surface as a wall, skylight, chimney, etc.. (The most
common leak)

Valley Leaks: located where two sections of roofs slope down towards each other and meet. (The most difficult type of leak)

Broken Roof Tiles

Broken, missing, or loose tiles We can repair all broken tiles and replace any if necessary. We use a special tile adhesive bonding agent) to secure any loose pieces that may have come loose and slid out of its
position.

If you have any missing mortar (cement) along the ridge cap tiles or the walls, we will use color-matching mortar to fill in all the areas to ensure a complete seal and bond. Loose or missing mortar along the ridge cap tiles can cause the tiles to become loose and shift out of its position, like wise missing mortar along flashings and walls may cause leaks at some point in time.

Fascia Boards

We replace all types of fascia boards. 1” X 8” and 2” X 8” boards are what is most commonly used on homes in these areas.

By doing a full walk around your home we’ll be able to spot all areas of concern and bring it to your attention. Most fascia board rot can be an indication of a more serious problem like a roof leak or other problems. We will determine the real issue and repair accordingly so it does not keep reoccurring. A lot of homeowners only replace the damaged boards but do not address the underlining issue which sometimes are roof leaks.

We can match all types of boards, cedar, pressure treated, or pine.

All areas after being repaired will be painted to match.

Roof Painting

When it comes to changing the look of your roof, there is no better way than to paint your roof. After doing all necessary repairs, painting your roof will not only give your roof a fresh new look and feel but it will also add further protection to the surface by making your tiles or shingles less porous.

We use quality paint with a high mildew and alga resistant solution that’s’ proven to hold up to the sunny South Florida climate. Painting can also make your entire roof look completely uniform with no discolored areas.

Roof Coatings

Flat roofs and some sloped roof sections should be coated and sealed with a waterproofing material for maximum protection every 3-5 years to ensure its longevity.

Over time your roof surface loses its elasticity and its ability to stretch effectively. Sealing it restores its ability to stretch and avoid premature cracking. Roof Coatings when done properly will add substantial amount of life to your roof by sealing any cracks and joints in the felt paper and prevent water from penetrating the surface.

Another added benefit of roof coatings is its ability to efficiently deflect heat which will reduce energy consumption by lowering the use of air conditioning.
